Pursuit Fitness Summer Camp

At Camp Bennett, we are bringing back the "Analog Summer"—the kind of childhood where the best days were spent building forts in the woods until the streetlights came on. This is more than just a camp; it’s a 5-day immersion into boyhood and brotherhood.

Coach Will designed this experience specifically for "boy energy." Things are a little rougher, a little dirtier, and a little harder. We don't just sweat; we train character.

2026 Summer Schedule & Age Units

To maintain a high coach-to-athlete ratio, each week is strictly limited to 10 participants.

  • Week 1: July 20–24 | Waterballoon Ops (Ages 6–7)
  • Week 2: July 27–31 | Gel Blasters (Ages 8–10)
  • Week 3: August 3–7 | Gel Blasters (Ages 10–13)

Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM Daily

Location: The Barn & Forest Earthgym at Camp Bennett

The Adventure of Building Tangible Competence

1. BUILD STUFF: Architects of the Woods

We don’t hand out pre-made kits; we provide real tools and raw materials. Boys learn to manipulate their environment—hauling stones, lashing timber, and engineering forest outposts using saws, hammers, nails, and rope.

2. BURN STUFF: Mastery of the Elements

Every morning starts with "Clearing the Battleground." We clear hazards from our movement space and harvest natural materials for our fort builds, followed by vital fire-safety education as we gather over a small morning campfire the boys will build (as conditions allow).

3. BLAST STUFF: Strategic Tactical Missions

After building and strengthening the forts, the boys will defend their forts in high-intensity battles.

  • Younger Units: Water Balloon Ops to stay cool while mastering team movement.
  • Older Units: Gel-Fire Blasters to build leadership, communication, and situational awareness.

What To Expect

The Pursuit Code: Training Character Through Grit

While the boys focus on the "Blast," we focus on the man they are becoming. Every session is anchored in the Pursuit Code:

  • Be Courageous: When it's hard and when it's new.
  • Take Responsibility: No excuses, no blame.
  • Show Respect: With gratitude and humility.

What to Expect

  • 25 Hours of Facilitated Play: Five days of expert-led coaching, Monday - Friday, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
  • The Friday Showcase: Parents and siblings are invited every Friday at 1:00 PM to see the outposts and join in a final, epic family battle!
  • All Equipment Provided: We provide all tools, hardware, tactical gear, and eye protection.
  • Rain or Shine: If the weather is non-permissive, we move the "Build" and the "Blast" into our heated 30'x40' Barn Gym.

Gear List for Campers:

  • Sturdy boots or trail shoes (No sandals/Crocs).
  • Work gloves.
  • Sack lunch and snacks.
  • Water bottle.
  • Sunscreen (applied before drop-off).

Registration & Membership

Pursuit is a project of the Camp Bennett Community Association. Participation is contingent upon all guests signing our free General Member Agreement (one per family).
