Children's book author S.S. Coulter is hitting the road on the Fassa Tails book tour and making Sandpoint, ID her very first stop.
Join us Sunday, March 29, 2026, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Camp Bennett.
We invite you to slow down and step into a space where imagination takes center stage. Join us at Camp Bennett for an afternoon of intentional play, storytelling, and community connection. S.S. Coulter, author of the Fassa Tails series, is a world-builder on a mission to help families reclaim the wonder of childhood. Impressed by Sandpoint's commitment to family values, homeschooling community, and commitment to screen-lite lifestyles, she's made us her first stop on her Fassa Tails Book Tour.
Please let us know you're coming so we can have enough "Fassa Stones" and painting supplies ready for the kids.
S.S. Coulter will bring the world of Planet Fassa to life as she shares a dynamic reading of the first Fassa Tails book, Where On Earth Am I?, introducing the real-life animals that inspired the Planet Fassa stories and sparking the "Sword of Imagination" in every child.
We’ll then head out onto the beautiful grounds of Camp Bennett for a guided nature rock walk. Kids will be prompted to select their very own "Fassa Stone"—a special rock to have and to hold as they explore the property and ground in nature.
After our walk, we'll return to the barn for a hands-on activity. Children will paint their stones with words of kindness and "Nuggets" of joy to take home as a reminder of the afternoon's adventure.
Connect. Breath. Reset. While the children are immersed in play, Shannon will host a heart-to-heart coffee chat. This is your time to find community with like-minded parents, share in the journey of intentional screen-lite family living. You'll leave feeling empowered, seen, and refreshed.

S. S. Coulter will have the books available for purchase and for signings at the event. Want to get your kids immersed in the Fassa Tails before they get to meet the author? Visit S.S. Coulter's website to learn more.

A Personal Note from Meredith
Will and I are very intentional about the voices we let into our home and the stories we put in front of our children. When we discovered Fassa Tails, it wasn't just another book series—it was a breath of fresh air.
Our kids are officially hooked. Between the vibrant illustrations and the rich character arcs, my children are constantly asking for Fassa Tails. I love that S.S. Coulter builds heart, mind and body activities, plot twists, and previews of the next book in the series directly into the books. Each book deepens their reading comprehension and keeps them immersed in the story long after my part in reading it to them is over. Shannon challenges them with big words and complex ideas, never talking down to them, but always keeping them enchanted.
But as a mom, what I love most is the Trust. I know that whether my kids are reading the books or listening along to one of Shannon’s read-along story narration audio tracks on YouTube, they are in a safe space. In a world where it feels like every piece of media has a hidden agenda or a motive to program my kids, Shannon is unapologetically wholesome.
She embodies Christian family values and a heart for protecting the pure joy of childhood innocence. When I hand a Fassa Tails book to my kids, or let them do a craft alongside Shannon on YouTube, I know their imaginations are being fueled by goodness, not by the latest trends or sociopolitical issues. Knowing I can entrust my children to Planet Fassa gives me the peace of mind to simply enjoy the stories alongside them.
