The Barn at Camp Bennett
In the modern fitness industry, the "unit of health" is the individual. You are encouraged to "unplug" from your life, put on headphones, and focus on your solo goals in a sea of strangers.
At Pursuit, we believe this model is broken. True health isn't found in isolation; it is cultivated within the family. When we say the family is the primary unit of health, we are grounding our mission in key truths:
You cannot "teach" a child to be resilient if they never see their parents struggle. When a family trains together, movement becomes the family culture rather than a chore. If a father values his strength and a mother values her mobility, for example, the children grow up viewing physical capability as a fundamental human requirement, not a hobby.
Many parents spend their time telling their kids "to go be active" while they sit on the sidelines. (We get it; we're guilty of this, too). In Pursuit, we replace "Go do that" with "Watch me do this." When a child watches their parent navigate an obstacle or push through a final set of carries, it builds a level of respect and inspiration that no "youth sports" Coach can replicate. You as the parent are the primary role model; we just provide the space and facilitate the movement to keep everyone safe while pushing their limits.
When a family works out together, they aren't just triggering physiological gains; they are triggering relational ones.
The #1 reason parents stop taking care of themselves is a lack of time and childcare. By making the family the unit of health, we remove the barrier. You don't need a babysitter to go to the gym; the gym is where you go to be with your family. It turns "gym time" into "connection time."
We are building a community that can "worry less and move more." That only happens if the home is strong. By equipping the whole family at once, we ensure that the progress made in Pursuit doesn't stop at the door—it follows you home to the dinner table, the garden, and the mountain.
We aren't just training individuals to look better; we are equipping families to live better. We train for the person standing next to us—our spouse, our children, and our Sandpoint community.
Parkour gives you a complete picture of what it means to move your body with confidence and intent. At its core, it is about mastering the transitions between physical challenges—from running, to jumping, to landing, and rolling. Members will build a wide base of physical development that is highly transferable to many other sports and activities.
Each Nerf Battle Class blends structured learning, a great workout, and FUN. We start every session with our non-negotiable Blaster Safety review to reinforce Nerf blasters are toys, guns are not. We play with Nerf, not guns. In each class, we'll have a featured blaster. You'll learn the basics, including loading, aiming, and firing techniques. After target practice, we'll get into the battles with different objectives and game modes.
A time to practice skills, explore obstacles, and move through the Pursuit gym at your own pace. At the top and bottom of each hour, Coach Will leads an optional brief game or fitness activity. This is not "free play," but the Barn gym will be set up with equipment for tumbling, climbing, jumping, and balance work. Coach Will will be available for questions and assistance.
Think "Classic PE" meets "Field Day Games." This is a high-energy return to the best parts of childhood play. Through tag variations, dodgeball, and creative team challenges, we build fundamental athletic skills without it ever feeling like "exercise." It’s facilitated play that develops reflexes, agility, and sportsmanship in a nostalgic, play-based class.
Family Boot Camp replaces the "solo gym" model with a collaborative environment where parents and children build a resilient engine together. This is a no fuss, no frills classic circuit training experience. Expect to warm up, get down to business, and get on with your day. Carries, natural movements, and bodyweight exercises mixed with some free weights, all designed to build resilience. Scalable for all ages and fitness levels.
This is a slow-flow movement class designed to help you take some deep breaths and expand your range of motion. Coach Will will meet you where you are on that given day and suggest optional modifications for scalable intensity. No woo woo, no namaste. Simply relax and restore.
Private training sessions with Coach Will tailored to your family's specific goals, from elite sport prep to general strength-building or family teamwork skill-building. Open to Track 3/All Access Members and customizable for any mix of family members.
While we encourage families to work out together, we also understand that sometimes little ones (or parents) need a break. To offer that respite, when needed, we have a separate office/kids room available to members during open Pursuit hours with toys, comfy seating, a small work desk, coffee, water, and WiFi. This space transforms into our party room during Pursuit birthdays.
Private birthday parties can be tailored to your group's interests. Whether you want Nerf, parkour, classic games, or a sampling of all three, we deliver 90-minutes of facilitated fun so you can press the easy button on your kid's birthday.
Pursuit is exclusively available to members of the Camp Bennett Community Association. We invite you to request a family orientation to chat with Coach Will and find the right path for your family.
