Nestled on 16 acres in Selle Valley, Camp Bennett is more than the place we call home – it's our life-long commitment to bring like-minded families together to land in nature.

Will wanted to build a tree net for years, but I never wanted to invest in a quality rope for the perimeter. When he saw rope on sale at Home Depot the other day, the time had come.
DIY Subirrigated Resevoir Buckets. This double bucket system uses the process of capillary action to draw moisture up a soil wick. This allows you to water your plants less frequently, and keep them at an optimal hydration level. It is a low cost,, low maintenance way to grow some food in a small scale.
Time for a road trip! Our good friend Mick Dodge, star of the National Geographic channel series The Legend of Mick Dodge, recently bought a training hall just south of Oregon; so naturally we had to go check it out :) Mick has always been one of Will's mentors when it comes to movement, and here he shares some of his thoughts and opinions that resonate well.
Designed by Justin Rhodes, the Chickshaw is a mobile chicken coop that holds up to 40 birds. With 1" chicken wire floor, the Chickshaw rarely needs cleaning, and you can move it to desired areas and park it where you need more fertilizer. Check out this video for a walkthrough on the methods I used to build this structure, and check out Justin Rhodes for more info: 5 Chicken Coops That Work - 5 Brilliant Ways .
What a disgusting surprise! Our garage refrigerator died on us some unknown time ago, and the meat that was stored there spoiled. What to do with this seemingly worthless resource? Why, a maggot bucket of course. As a bonus, check out how I made our new Brooder 2.0.

We are the Bennetts. Will, Meredith, Margo, Samuel and Clark.
Welcome to Camp Bennett! This land is our beloved family property in the Selle Valley. We are on a mission to equip strong men, secure women, and resilient children.
As parents, our goal is to raise our children to become capable, caring adults with the self-confidence, life skills, and relationships to thrive and enjoy a healthy, happy life here in Sandpoint, Idaho.
For our entire adult lives, we have lived out a "farm-to-table-to-fitness" kind of lifestyle--gathering friends and community together to share nourishment, teach each other traditional skills, and play outside.
We feel incredibly blessed to be surrounded by so many brave parents in this town raising their children with integrity and strong family values.
